We're thrilled that you've chosen our scenic venue for your upcoming event. This page contains all the essential information you'll need to ensure your day is as seamless and enjoyable as possible. Please take a moment to review the details below.

60 Days Out From Your Event

Please complete and return the two downloadable forms below. Please note the following:

  • We require a Certificate of Insurance (COI) from ALL vendors that come on site. Each vendor must submit a copy of their COI to us with the following listed under certificate holder:

    Thompson Ridge View Farm, LLC
    Jacob & Winnie Gros
    290 Howell Street
    Pine Bush, NY 12566

Vendors may email their COI to
    events@thompsonridgeviewfarm.com

  • To ensure a smooth and safe experience, each event must obtain Event Insurance for the entire weekend (Friday – Sunday) that covers at least $1,000,000 in liability for any injuries or property damage. This policy should also include Host Liquor Liability and name Thompson Ridge View Farm, LLC, and Jacob & Winnie Gros as additional insureds. If you'll be serving alcohol without a vendor, the coverage must be increased to $2,000,000. Most insurance companies offer this coverage, however, you may easily obtain event liability insurance through Wedsure.com.

  • Now is a good time to revisit your original contract and confirm that all the details are still accurate. If there have been any changes, or if you’d like to request any enhancements such as overnight stays in the cottage, tractor placed out for display, etc., please let us know.

  • After all the details are confirmed, we’ll prepare a final invoice. The balance will be due 30 days before your event, payable by cash or check. Checks may be made payable to Thompson Ridge View Farm.

  • The Importance of a Day-Of Coordinator

Thompson Ridge View Farm requires couples to hire a professional event planner or day-of coordinator to ensure every detail of the day is flawlessly executed. From coordinating vendors and timelines to handling unforeseen challenges, their expertise allows you and your loved ones to focus on the joy of the celebration without the stress of managing the event. If you have yet to hire a coordinator, we are happy to provide a list of local professionals to consider.

  • Alcohol

Thompson Ridge View Farm requires all events to adhere to New York State guidelines when serving alcohol. If you plan to provide alcohol without using a vendor, a one-day alcohol event permit must be obtained through NYS. Additionally, all alcohol must be served by bartenders. Many caterers are equipped to provide and handle alcohol service at events. For more information regarding alcohol, please click HERE.

  • Prohibited Items

To protect the natural environment and ensure guest safety, Thompson Ridge View Farm prohibits the use of fake flower petals, rice, confetti, pyrotechnics, and feathers. These items can harm wildlife, pose fire hazards, and are difficult to clean up. This policy helps maintain the farm’s beauty and safety for all visitors.

  • Centerpieces

If you're planning tall centerpieces for your event, ensure they are bottom-heavy to prevent them from tipping over. The barn's open-air design allows breezes to pass through, so it's crucial that your arrangements are stable and secure to avoid any mishaps.
